This working 7 days a week, anywhere from 5-9 hours a day, is really starting to take its toll on me. I'm supposed to put in some extra hours at Mathews this week. I have trouble turning Selene down since they pay $13/hr.
I had to cancel a Big Brothers Big Sisters appointment with Marcia, my match specialist, because of an extra work shift that came up last minute. I wound up racing over to the BBBS office this morning and dropping in. Marcia, thankfully, was there and took me in. I apologized profusely for not calling first. She gave me a booster seat to put Ruben in, since he is under 60 pounds. How on God's green earth am I going to get Ruben to sit in a booster seat, in the back, after he has ridden up front, booster seatless, with me since December of 2004. (BBBS just received grant money from an organization that requires that they make sure Bigs with Littles under 60 pounds put their Littles in booster seats when they take them on outings.) I am looking forward to battling this out with Ruben next time we go out.
